Come, let's build a legacy together! The Director of Recruiting is responsible for overseeing the recruitment and retention of all team members at Chick-fil-A West Pond, a grand opening restaurant slated to open its doors in Q3 of 2023. As a Chick-fil-A Recruiter, you will play a critical role in identifying and attracting talented individuals who align with Chick-fil-A's values and culture. Your primary responsibility will be to source, screen, and select candidates for various positions within the organization. This position reports directly to the Owner/Operator. The mission of the Director of Recruiting is to fill the organization with outstanding talent at every level.

The Director of Recruiting will be held accountable for specific measures in the following critical areas:

  • Retention and turnover rate
  • Quality of hires
  • Creating internal referrals
  • Efficiency and success of recruiting strategy and systems
  • Succession/transition planning

Summary of Duties:

  • Implement overall recruiting strategy, providing a steady stream of qualified candidates to the hiring pipeline
  • Consult with Director team to discover hiring needs of the business team member requirements and specific job objectives
  • Evaluate and screen cover letters, resumes, and video submissions
  • Conduct screening interviews, group interviews, restaurant tours, and orientation
  • Carefully craft compelling and accurate job descriptions and clarify roles for all positions
  • Source candidates by using a multi-channel approach, such as recruiting platforms, social media, business school relationships, word of mouth, etc.
  • Source passive candidates
  • Determine the effectiveness and success of current recruiting strategies
  • Use recruiting tools like personality or skills tests to assess candidate’s fit
  • Craft interview questions and a scorecard that measures the candidate’s skillset
  • Conduct in-depth interviews to assess candidates' skills, qualifications, and cultural fit
  • Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires
  • Extend job offers and negotiate terms of employment
  • Provide an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
  • Stay up-to-date with current recruiting methods
  • Seek out local job fairs and career events to attend
  • Enthusiastically represent the Chick-fil-A brand in the community and build long-term relationships
  • Establish long-term recruitment pipelines with colleges and universities
  • Utilize community connections to find qualified candidates i.e. Chamber of Commerce
  • Prepare a bi-weekly report for Leaders of the tasks completed or in progress
  • Able to read and understand talent-related reports and then make decisions to maximize the best business results
  • Create systems to automate and easily replicate recruiting role
  • Think creatively around recruiting and hiring systems and always be working on improving existing systems to encourage efficiency
  • Report the status of these recruiting metrics with the team as necessary

Requirements:

  • Fluent Spanish and English speaker
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Systems-driven
  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadline
  • Familiarity with social media, especially LinkedIn
  • Excellent time management skills and self-motivation
  • Proven experience as a recruiter, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Understanding Woodbridge community including organizations and schools to seek talent from
